A deposit may be required to reserve your place on the competition week or you can reserve your flights which saves having to pay a deposit.

terms and conditions for golf weeks / competition weeks

Please read the terms and conditions relating to this golf week, if places are reserved it is understood that you and those travelling with you accept and agree to these terms and conditions.

Some terms and conditions specifically relate to Gloria Hotels and Resorts and Gloria Golf Club, can be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice or explanation. Free incentives offered during competition golf weeks like afternoon use of the Verde golf course / free range balls and free pull trolleys are subject to availability and are only available for competition golf weeks and not on a general basis.

A minimum number of golfers is required to ensure that a competition golf week will go ahead. The minimum number is determined by the date of each event and the contractual terms and conditions, 22nd May 2027 requirement is 56 golfers. If the minimum number is not achieved Sungolf Belek may determine that the competition may have to be cancelled or scaled down to make the event viable. It may become necessary to change the prize table being offered if the minimum number of golfers is not achieved.

Free room upgrade, accommodation at Gloria Golf Resort is contracted to be Standard Garden Room, if it is stated Free room upgrade to main building, this is subject to main building rooms being available and not known until arrival and therefore never guaranteed.

If a prize of a free return holiday is offered to the golf championship winner/s this is subject to being used to return on the same week the following year, on the understanding that the event must take place the following year. The free holiday prize is offered by Gloria Hotel and Resorts as an incentive for the event to return each year.

To avoid disappointment the prize of a free holiday will no longer be advertised or promoted but if circumstances are right may still be offered.

A La Carte restaurants. Historically, Gloria hotels have offered the use of their a la carte restaurants on three occasions free of charge, in 2025 this concept changed and all a la carte restaurants will then become chargeable, the cost will vary from each hotel and restaurant starting from 20€ pp and will be charged to your room.

If the golf week is cancelled then alternative arrangements will be offered to any person who has already booked, these arrangements may include a change of venue or the ability to just have a none competitive golf week.

It is a requirement that everyone attending the Golf week must take out suitable travel insurance to cover cancellation by Covid 19 or similar infectious diseases, repatriation, medical costs, personal injury and golf equipment.

Golf Buggy Vouchers are sometimes offered at a preferential rate, if the course stops the use of golf buggies for what ever reason, the vouchers can be handed back at a rate of 40€ per unused voucher,  all vouchers are dated, vouchers are only valid for the golf week you are attending and cannot be used on future golf weeks.

In the unfortunate event that rain or bad weather or some other outside influence makes it impossible to play golf, alternative golf options may be offered if alternative options are available. If no alternative is available then it becomes the responsibility of the golfer to make a claim against their travel insurance.

If an invoice is raised to cover your holiday and you then decide to cancel for what ever reason, a £100.00 per person administration charge will be charged to cover the cost of cancellation.

Course closure due to inclement weather: In the unlikely event that the golf course is closed due to poor weather conditions an alternative day and time may be offered subject to availability. If an alternative game is not available written notice must be obtained from the golf course in order that a claim may be made against your travel insurance. Due to the highly subsidised rates offered by the hotel the cost of golf may be considerably lower than advertised at the club-house.

Cancellation: If for any reason you must cancel your holiday, written notification must be sent confirming cancellation. If you cancel before payment is made a £50.00 per person cancellation fee is required to cover the administration costs. If you cancel after payment has been made then an insurance claim must be made as no refund will be offered by the Sungolf Belek or Gloria Hotel.

It is a requirement that everyone attending the competition week must take out suitable travel insurance to cover cancellation, repatriation, medical costs, personal injury and golf equipment.

Sungolf Belek are not under any circumstances responsible for any personal injury or liability that may be incurred whilst in transit to or from the airport or golf course or whilst at the golf club / whilst playing golf or whilst staying in any hotel / accommodation reserved on their behalf. This reflects the importance of taking out quality travel insurance.

Free flight reservation service is offered on the basis that the clients own credit / debit card is used to make the reservation. Sungolf Belek do not act as agents for any flight company or receive commission on any flight bookings made on the clients behalf.

Currency exchange rates. It may surprise you to learn that hotels and golf courses in Belek trade in the Euro. Your holiday is always quoted in £ sterling. It is sometimes necessary to make adjustments to the price quoted if there is a dramatic drop in the value of the pound. If changes are deemed necessary then the client will be informed of any changes and then the client must decide whether to proceed with the booking or cancel. Sungolf Belek withhold the right to cancel any pre-booked travel arrangements if the exchange rate drops to a level deemed to be detrimental to proceed.

Once an invoice is sent out and paid by the client then that price is fixed.

Golf Weeks are classed as a Group Booking and as such have different terms and conditions relating to settlement of invoices and cancellation policy, if an invoice is raised to cover your holiday and you have paid your invoice and you then decide to cancel for what ever reason, a claim must be made against your travel insurance. Sungolf Belek have a strict cancellation policy which is determined by contractual obligations made with third party suppliers.

A £50.00 per person administration charge will also be charged to cover all the extra administration costs of cancellation. This administration charge is in most cases recoverable from your travel insurance.

Events Beyond our Control: These events can include, but are not limited to war, threat of war, civil strife, terrorist activity and its consequences or the threat of such activity, riot, epidemics, pandemics and significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination (including the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic), the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, lock closure, natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to or remain at the travel destination, nuclear disaster, fire, chemical or biological disaster,, unavoidable technical problems with transport and all similar events outside our or the supplier(s) concerned control. Advice from the Foreign Office to avoid or leave a particular country may constitute Events Beyond Our Control.
